Event Access Description
Event Access
In the ICAM systems, event access can take on one of two broad types.
These are ticketing and general
validation. Tickets allow a
card to be used a specified number of times for an event, while
general validation checks to see that a card matches predefined
database criteria. The following is a brief list of examples of
some different types of Event
Access:
- Determine eligibility for tickets for athletic and special events,
and void after use
- Determine if a student is registered
- Identify a cardholder as a student, faculty member, staff member, or
special class
- Check authorization
