Meal Plan Description
Meal Plan Flexibility
The ICAM meal plan module provides up to 125 individual meal plans,
each of which can be configured to provide for the exclusive needs of
the institution. A plan can be configured on a per location basis to
determine which meals will be served, when they
will be served, and which cardholders are eligible for particular meals.
Meal plans can also be configured to be accepted only for specific meals
in specified locations. Each meal plan can be configured to allow a
different number of meals per time period (day, week or semester).
Meal plans can also be assigned a value (equivalence) for exchange at a
la carte dining locations. The amount of the equivalence can be varied
based on meal plan, time of day, and location.
The meal plan module includes a wide variety of usage reports, including
up-to-the-minute reporting of meals served and daily usage reports with
breakdowns available by customer defined time increments including: day, week,
month, and term totals. The module also includes a "home location matrix"
reporting program which will break down usage based on "who lives where
and eats where". The system will provide reports for all attempts to use
a card, both successful and unsuccessful, and will track usage of cards.
A number of user configurable reports are also available.
Reports and data are kept online indefinitely for immediate access.
This information can be transferred to tape or deleted when no longer
needed or disk storage is at a premium.
Readers commonly used with the meal plan module are the
Diebold 727, the Diebold
Turbo reader, and the Comtrex Sprint series
of POS terminals.
