Time and Attendance
Time and Attendance is a modular addition to the ICAM System. It integrates
seamlessly into the ICAM environment and allows the add-on and upgrade of the
current established ICAM user base. This module supports the utilization of
ICAM readers and other system components.
The Time and Attendance capability of the ICAM system is a full-featured
attendance tracking system. The system reports hours worked on a variety of
time periods with breakdowns for regular time, sick leave, vacation leave,
holiday leave, funeral leave, jury duty, personal leave, leave without pay,
annual leave, administrative leave and local work/leave types. Reports can be
run for individuals, departments, and groups of departments.
Employees use Diebold 727 readers and Diebold Turbo readers to record their attendance and to request
compensation for sick leave, vacation leave, or other configured leave types.
Multiple database structures allow amazing flexibility. Managers will be
able to accurately supervise their employees, while at the same time, recording
time spent on individual tasks.
The use of Diebold 727 readers and Diebold Turbo readers will streamline the process of recording the
use of accumulated vacation time, sick leave, and other acceptable employee
benefits.
Reporting features will generate customized reports. A summary file is
produced for posting to an institution's payroll system. Error reports are
also produced to aid in keeping database and employee records up to date.
Time and Attendance editing features allow the managers to add, change and
delete accidentally entered records.
The system contains an auto-clock option. This feature simplifies card
reader use for employees. The system determines what the employee's last entry
was (a clock-in or clock-out) and makes an opposite entry (clock-out or
clock-in). The employee simply swipes a valid ICAM card at a reader and the
proper function is automatically performed.
Multiple hourly rates are allowed. An employee who works multiple
functions for multiple rates will be accurately compensated.
An employee's total hours worked can be displayed on the reader's LCD
display. A key is then pressed, by the employee, to either accept or deny the
hours displayed. This feature can eliminate the need for manual signature
acceptance.
Managers must have access to the records of individuals under their
supervision. Record access privileges are set by the System Administrator to
deny unauthorized viewing.
An accurate time clock is displayed by the system.
Time and Attendance has the ability to track and report multiple time
periods.
Overtime hours and compensation are tracked and reported by the system.
Overtime rules can be customized to apply to multiple situations.
Data is easily accessible and allows the Manager/Supervisor to generate
reports any time they are needed.
Time and Attendance is able to generate customized reports. Multiple report formats can be created allowing each manager to control confidential records,
while at the same time, providing necessary records for other departments.
Managers/Supervisors can clock employees in and out. This provides an
alternative method in the event that cards are lost or stolen.
The system will automatically keep a running total of hours worked for each
cardholder.
The system has the ability to handle a variety of classifications for
cardholders (employee, student, temporary.)
A cardholder will be able to clock-in and clock-out from multiple access
points and not be required to return to a specific location, unless the
supervisor/manager so desires.
